Akita Station (秋田駅 Akita-eki) is a railway station in Akita, Akita Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Station structure

• Ground station. The station building is the Hashigami station building. Akita Station East-West communication free channel in "Poporodo". The north side of the free passage is arranged in the following order: station building, Byu Plaza Akita Station, Midori Window (business hours: 5:30-22:00), traditional line ticket gate, Shinkansen ticket gate.
• The bullet train ticket has four automatic ticket gates (can be moved by Suica).
• For traditional routes, only the central ticket gate introduces an automatic ticket gate (not Suica compatible).
• Ticket vending machines are installed at each ticket gate, and the green counter and designated seat ticket vending machines are installed only at the central entrance. In addition, it is handled in the central ticket gate settlement office.
• On the south side of the Freeway, there is a station building parking lot, Starbucks Akita Station store, waiting room, NewDays Akita Popolode store and Akita City Tourist Information Center.
• In the March 2017 refurbishment, the NewDays Akita Popolo store is equipped with Mizuho Bank's MMK off-site ATM.
