The Hendayi Railway Station is a railway station in Hendaye, France. It has TGV high-speed trains, Lunéa night trains, Intercités long-distance trains and TER local services operated by SNCF, RENFE-operated Trenhotel and Arco services and EuskoTren services. The Euskotren narrow-gauge service runs from a site in the front yard of the SNCF station, for which separate ticketing is required.
The station is the border train station and all trains must be stopped, as trains from Spain or into Spain must change the gauge from a standard height of 1,435 mm to a 1,668 mm Iberian instrument. The power supply for the pickups was also changed from 1500 V DC (over France) to 3000 V DC (over Spain). This is an interesting part of the station.
Lasarte-Oria is the terminal for most Euskotren services offered by Hendaye. So if you are heading to Irun or San Sebastian / Donastia and see a train to Lasarte-Oria, this is the train you need to take.
If you arrive on the Euskotren train, please leave the Euskotren station and walk in front of you. The SNCF station is the building on the right. When travelling on the Euskotren train to Hendaye, you need to take the train to Hendaia.
If you want to transfer between TGV and Hendaye between the Trenhotel trains to and from Lisbon/Lisbon, you may need to change trains between stations. However, the stairs are the only stations that the Trenhotel train will use.
