The Exeter Central railway station is the train station in Exeter, England, in the city of Exeter, England. It is also the closest train station to the city centre of Exeter, but on a larger scale than Exeter St. The Weiss station is slightly smaller. During its opening in 1860 to 1933, the Exeter Central Station was named Queensgate Station in Exeter.
The Exeter Central Station is serviced by trains on the West England Line, from London Waterloo Station to Exeter St. David, operated by the Southwest Railway Company.
The Great Western Railway provides local service from Exmouth to Exeter St David's along the Avocet line. On Sundays in summer, there is also a train to Okehampton, which is connected to the Dartmoor Sunday Rover network. Sometimes, the Great Western Railway operates a weekend to reach the service at the Yeovil junction.
