Genova Piazza Principe is the nerve center of the city's transportation system. Most long-distance trains connect the platform that leaves/arrives to the main entrance through two channels below the line. From the platform of the main (ground) part of the station, one of these passages enters through stairs and elevators, and the other enters through escalators and stairs. However, only one escalator enters the main hall of the station through the way the elevator enters/outs the platform/binari - when we are there, it is working in the upward direction.
